It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Hi everyone!  I didn't get as much reading done as I had planned as I was so busy this week.  I went to the trailer for a couple of days just to chill out and relax.  We went swimming, relaxed on the deck, had our usual campfire, and just had a lot of fun.  My cousin is getting married in August, so she had her bridal shower on Sunday.  It's always great to see family again and it gave me an excuse to see my adorable little 3-month-old nephew again.  What a sweetie he is!  I dropped the kiddies off at their grandparents for a week, but you know, I have to say the house is way too quiet without them around and while I appreciate having the time to myself, I really miss them.  I think I will go call them to see how they are doing as soon as I write this post.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Sheila @ One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.  I really enjoy this post as it gives me a chance to reflect on what I read, what I am currently reading, and what I need to read next week.  It's also a way to give myself that kick in the butt to get going if I'm getting behind on some things I need to get done, perfect case in hand would be this week.  I also enjoy going to other people's blogs to see what books they are reading.  What a great way to meet other bloggers and to discover new books and authors!!!!

This week I read:

Hunter's Moon by Don Hoesel -  I enjoyed this book and you can read my review here.

Poor Tom is Cold by Maureen Jennings - Book 3 in her series, Jennings sets her historical murder/mysteries in Toronto, Ontario, which is an added bonus for me as I live close to there.  I am fascinated by what I am learning about Toronto's history.

This week I am reading:

The Book of Love and The Poet Prince by Kathleen McGowan - These are books two and three in her series.  I am really enjoying them and the reviews should be out this week.

In Free Fall by Julie Zeh - I have started this one and so far I love this author's style of writing.

Up next:

The Left Hand of God by Paul Hoffman

Extraordinary by Nancy Werlin - I posted this on my Waiting on Wednesday post and got it in the mail on Thursday to review.  How neat is that?  I am thrilled to review this one.

The Secret of Happiness by Demonsthenes Armeniades

How was your reading week?

  5. I think the Extraordinary thing was just coincidence as there's no way it would have happened that quickly. I just thought it was funny the way it happened.

  9. Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. We are also dropping the kiddies off for a week with their grandparents this weekend! I love them to pieces, but I'm really looking forward to a quiet week when I can finally get some work done. We've had a house full of boys ever since we got home from vacation!

Enjoy the peace and quiet - lots of reading time!
