Teaser Tuesday: Indulgence in Death
Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Should Be Reading, where we share teaser sentences from a novel we are currently reading.
* Grab your current read and open it to a random page.
* Share some teaser sentences from somewhere on the page. AVOID USING SPOILERS, as someone may want to read the book, after all!!
* Share the book title and author so that others can find the book if they wish to read it.
Indulgence in Death
by J.D. Robb
Release Date: November 2, 2010
"Well, he's a monster, isn't he?"
"Why do you say that?"
"Your man who abducted women and tortured them to death was a monster...He uses his position, which he's never earned, to intimidate or humiliate or frighten because it makes him feel more important. And now he's escalated that and kills for sport, for amusement..." p.247

I love this series!! I'm on book 4 or 5 though.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great series and that was a great teaser. I love Eve and Roarke. I have two this week. My YA teaser comes from Fall for Anything by Courtney Summers and my adult teaser comes from Side Jobs by Jim Butcher. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI've read one or two books in this series...I need to get back to it. I love the idea of an author who takes on a different persona for a whole new genre (Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb).

I hope that you are enjoying your book. Wanna see what my Teaser for Tuesday is?
ReplyDeleteHere is my teaser from Out of Touch by Brandon Tietz (Page vii):
ReplyDeleteI used to be the kind of guy that would have no problem reading Playboy or Hustler on an airplane, but that me in "the before," and nearly everything has changed since that time in my life a little over a year ago.
This is not a coming of age story.
If that's what you're wanting then I suggest you put this down and read something else: something with a happy ending. Like Penthouse.
Or: the funny pages.
This is me giving you your official warning.
Because where this goes, you might not be ready for.
YEAY! Teaser Tuesday!!!!!!! Here is mine! It is the day when my to-read list just can't stop growing!!!
ReplyDeleteSincerely,

I am afraid I haven't read any of her books yet but this sounds very intriguing might have to add to my ever growing pile of books .
ReplyDeleteMy Tuesday Teaser
I love this series. I only found it about 2 years ago and then I proceeded to read the series in 5 to 6 book batches. Loved the characters and the setting. Can't wait to get my hands on this one.
