It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey.  It's a fantastic way to take stock of what you would like to read next week (or have to read next week), and organize that review pile.  I like it because it gives me a chance to visit blogs I haven't had a chance to visit in a while and check out what other people are reading.

You know, I have to take a minute as I always do with this post and reflect on the past week outside of reading.  I'm a little bummed today as school starts tomorrow and as I was packing to leave the trailer, I was realizing this was the last time I was going to be here during the week until next summer.  While I enjoy my job, I can't help but be sad that summer holidays are over and life, and all of its craziness for me, starts again tomorrow.

Am I the only one who feels that summer just flew by?  And it was a great one this year, even though we didn't travel like we normally do, just day trips here and there.  And I certainly didn't get the reading done that I would have liked to, but it was hard to sit down when the weather was so gorgeous and the beach was calling my name.  We did come home on a high note however, as my hubby and I have been trying for years to get into this big contest that our favourite radio station hosts every year.  It's a big bash and they have these amazing prizes;  for example, this year one of the big prizes is a free condo.  They only give away about 300 tickets every years and it's so difficult to get in.  My hubby actually won one of the tickets today and he gets to take someone (me, of course!! - his life would shorten considerably if he took anyone else LOL) and we are so excited.  Like I said, we've been trying for years to get into this contest as you have to call in and number 9 gets the ticket.  Yoohoo!!

For those who are interested in helping me spread the news, I am helping Scott Nicholson promote his novels, in particular Six Novels: Ghost Box Set, a series of six novels that I can guarantee are pretty interesting and will have you sitting on the edge of you seat as you are reading.  I have read The Red Church, and I loved it.  Look for my review coming shortly!!!!

What I Read Last Week:
The Legacy by Katherine Webb
The Red Church by Scott Nicholson

What I am Currently Reading:
The Witch of Babylon by DJ McIntosh

What's Next:
Phantom Lives by Elizabeth Loraine

Wishing everyone who is heading back to school tomorrow a safe and happy return!!!

  5. I hear ya, about the craziness starting again! I can barely fit anything else on our family calendar for this week or next - school, soccer, PT, doctor, orthodontist, etc. Whew. Glad to hear you had such a great summer.

Enjoy your books and your first week back to school!
