That's a very tough subject to take on.

I think it's something that wasn't talked about nearly as much in the past, and there's still that residual stigma about it.

For those of us who have known someone who's taken their life, that kind of experience will always stay with us.William Kendallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00331324250821836822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8430443517931882776.post-34262149650210815222012-12-12T21:15:40.893-05:002012-12-12T21:15:40.893-05:00I personally think it was something we didn't ...I personally think it was something we didn't talk about in the past like we do today. Mental health and wellness definitely was not the huge issue in the schools like it is today and I feel it is something that does need to be discussed. Perhaps so many students wouldn't have felt so isolated if it was more in the open.Curling up by the Firehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08469976660269940990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8430443517931882776.post-76204586810689670462012-12-11T20:44:00.581-05:002012-12-11T20:44:00.581-05:00It sounds like this might be a good book club read...It sounds like this might be a good book club read as there would be lots of discussion. Is it getting worse, or did we just not hear about it so much in the past?
AnnAnn Summervillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13300190648788509096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8430443517931882776.post-88933754824642525372012-12-09T16:01:59.010-05:002012-12-09T16:01:59.010-05:00Hi Stephanie,

I too, work with teenagers and my son has been suicidal. For some teens it is just a feeling of hopelessness that pushes them over the edge. This is a must read for everyone! It is so thought provoking.Laura Kozy Lanikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12660048273181347880noreply@blogger.com
